Solectria Renewables to supply Photovoltaic Inverters in US
US-based photovoltaic inverter manufacturer Solectria Renewables has been selected to supply PVI 60, 82 or 95KW commercial inverters to 1st Light Energy for a solar rooftop installations on the facilities of Extra Space Storage in the country.
This initiative will reduce the Extra Space Storage's carbon impact by utilizing solar energy to power its facilities.
About 45 sites have been installed with the rooftop systems till date and an additional 58 facilities are in process with Extra Space Storage set to add the system to many other facilities in 2013.
1st Light Energy president Justin Krum remarked that the company had employed Solectria Renewables' residential, commercial and utility-scale inverters in various installations over the past 5 years.
Solectria Renewables regional business development Allison Duffy added, "This project is a great example of the incredible potential for rooftop solar installations across the U.S."
Each of the 103 sites will use Solectria Renewables' inverters and produce about 11.5 million kWh of energy per annum.
